producer & songwriter

Michael Blum is equal parts songwriter and producer, with work that spans pop, television, and theater. He has a unique ability to help artists shape their stories, articulate their vision, and bring projects from conception to completion. Known for his lyrical instincts and vocal production, he’s a meticulous yet easy-going collaborator whose superpower is creating an environment where artists feel comfortable doing their best work.

In a previous life, Blum was a jazz guitarist—named the “Rising Star Guitarist” in DownBeat Magazine—and toured internationally as both a guitarist and keyboardist. Since shifting his focus to songwriting and production, his credits include David Archuleta (eight songs on his 2025 EP Earthly Delights, including viral single “Crème Brulée”), Caleb Hearn (“How Did You Know?”), Lily Meola (“Spaceship”), and Haley Joelle (viral singles “Two Places at Once” and “Addicted,” as well as executive producing her last two albums). He has also had releases with OSTON, Avery Lynch, Devon Gabriella, The Reklaws, Lily Williams, Michael Gerow, and many others.

In 2025, Blum co-wrote and produced the original song “Wish That You Were Me,” featured throughout the fifth season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. He is the inaugural recipient of ASCAP’s Peggy Lee Songwriter Award.
